WHO & WHAT Bike MS: Valero Ride to the River, presented by H-E-B, celebrates its 26th Anniversary ride with a journey that travels through historic River Road in Gruene as it winds from San Antonio to New Braunfels. The ride is expected to attract nearly 1,300 cyclists to support the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and raise an estimated $1.4 million for cutting-edge research, programs and services benefiting thousands impacted by multiple sclerosis (MS). The two-day fundraising event taking place Oct. 3-4 starts at Wheatley Heights Sports Complex and finishes at Comal County Fair Grounds. Riders can choose different route options to make the route as challenging as they would like. Visit bikeMStx.org to register to cycle, volunteer or donate. The 2015 registration fee is $50 and is now open. Individuals interested in joining or creating a team can sign up online with co-workers, friends, family or neighbors.
