2 Confirmed Dead After Tornado Rips Through Virginia Campground
(Cape Charles, VA) -- Virginia State Police say there are two confirmed deaths from a tornado that ripped through a campground this morning on Virginia's Eastern Shore.
State Police spokeswoman Corrine Geller says the couple's son is hospitalized with life-threatening injuries. The twister hit this morning in Cape Charles and flipped over trailers and toppled trees. Witnesses describe seeing golf ball-sized hail during the storm. At least 20 people have been injured. Upwards of 13-hundred people were at the campground when the twister came through.
