(Detroit, MI) -- Gay marriage is on hold in Michigan. The U.S Appeals Court for the Sixth Circuit issued a temporary stay yesterday afternoon on Friday's ruling that overturned the state's ban on same-sex marriage and adoption. Dozens of marriage licenses were issued earlier yesterday as a number of county clerks offices opened outside normal business hours. The stay leaves couples married before it went into effect in legal limbo.
