(San Antonio, TX) -- The so-called "San Antonio 4's" taste of freedom is expected to last a long time. Bexar County District Attorney Susan Reed says she has no plans to re-try the quartet, because no one wants to see anyone imprisoned due to unfair circumstances. Elizabeth Ramirez, Cassandra Rivera and Kristie Mayhugh were released yesterday following 14 years of imprisonment. They, along with Anna Vasquez, were convicted of sexually molesting two young girls in the 1990s. Their convictions were called into question when a 2007 study revealed faulty science was used during the examination of the alleged victims and court testimony. Vasquez was already out on parole.
