She recommends setting aside some rainy-day cash to help pay for those unexpected expenses. Nearly all parents questioned in a recent survey said their children take part in extracurricular activities like sports and theater, but not all of those parents plan for the extra cost. Those programs can easily cost 400 dollars or more.
