Bode Miller: Don't Blame Interviewer For Breakdown

Bode Miller: Don't Blame Interviewer For Breakdown
(Sochi, Russia) -- Olympic skier Bode Miller says the NBC interviewer who brought him to tears after a bronze medal win is taking too much heat over her handling of the interview.

Miller told NBC's "Today" he doesn't think Christin Cooper anticipated how he would react when asked about his brother's death. Cooper pressed Miller about his late brother. At first Miller teared up, but after more questioning he leaned up against a nearby fence and broke down in sobs. Miller said it was an emotional moment and he feels terrible that Cooper is taking so much criticism. Miller became the oldest skier to win an Olympic medal Sunday at the age of 36.

Olympic skiier Bode Miller says he was familiar with NBC interviewer Christin Cooper.
Miller says Cooper was doing her job.
