(San Antonio, TX) -- Some parents are hurrying to try to find after-school care for their children after learning a program is ending. KSAT-TV reports parents had been using the Boys & Girls Club at The Salvation Army's Peacock Center near Woodlawn Lake for almost 20 years, but learned yesterday it was moving. On Friday the summer program is ending, and the Salvation Army's moving the Boys & Girls Club program downtown to its emergency family shelter. Many low-income families are rushing to find a new program as school starts in two weeks.
