(Undated) -- Eating dark chocolate could help people with peripheral artery disease. A new study found that people who suffer from narrowing in the arteries to the legs could walk a little longer and farther without pain after eating dark chocolate. The small study found that men and women aged 60 to 78 increased their ability to walk without help after eating dark chocolate, compared to when they ate milk chocolate. Researchers say dark chocolate is much richer in cocoa than milk chocolate. It's believed cocoa can improve the flow of blood in peripheral arteries. The study is published in the "Journal of the American Heart Association."
