(Seoul) -- The death toll from the South Korean ferry disaster continues to rise. Divers recovered more bodies from the submerged ship Sunday, bringing the total of deaths to at least 50. More than 250 people, mostly students, remain missing and are probably dead. The ships' captain and two crew members have been arrested in connection with the sinking of the ferry. The captain defended his decision not to give the order to abandon ship on Saturday, saying he feared people in life vests would be swept away by strong currents before rescue boats could arrive.
