Disney Star Tells Kids To Think Before Posting Images, Messages

(Los Angeles, CA) -- Kids in Los Angeles are being reminded to think twice before posting images and messages online.
Disney Channel star Raini Rodriguez joined with LAUSD officials at a local elementary school Friday to begin the district's Digital Citizenship Week. The "Austin and Ally" star told students they should always be respectful and responsible when posting pictures or text messages online. Rodriguez says even if you post something mean-spirited and then quickly delete it, it will always remain in your "digital footprint" and could come back to haunt you down the road. Digital Citizenship Week is aimed at teaching the children of the digital age the do's and don'ts when it comes to using technology. The campaign, which runs through next week, will also see teachers throughout the district focus on teaching students about online bullying and how to prevent it.
