(Chicago, IL) -- The Food and Drug Administration says it "stands ready" to work with companies to develop new drugs to treat Ebola. The FDA issued a statement Friday in response to calls from doctors trying to speed up the process. A senior FDA official said the agency would consider proposals for providing treatments under special emergency new drug applications. The worst Ebola outbreak in history has already killed more than 700 people in West Africa.
