(Washington, DC) -- The Federal Elections Committee is giving the green light for bitcoin to be used for donations to political action committees. The FEC voted Thursday to allow political committees to accept the virtual currency under certain conditions. PACS can accept bitcoins up to an individual limit of 100-dollars for each election cycle and can also purchase bitcoins. The FEC did not approve the use of bitcoins to purchase campaign goods and services.
