(Washington, DC) -- The Justice Department will proceed with a civil lawsuit against cyclist Lance Armstrong. A federal judge denied a request from Armstrong to dismiss the case alleging the disgraced cyclist defrauded the government by accepting sponsorship money from the U.S. Postal service while using performance-enhancing drugs. The DOJ claims the Postal Service was deceived into paying 40-million dollars to Armstrong's cycling team, half of which went to Armstrong personally.
