"Gravity" Wins Seven Awards, "12 Years A Slave" Wins Best Picture

(Los Angeles, CA) -- "12 Years A Slave" is the best movie of the year. The emotionally charged film won three Oscars last night, including Best Picture. Director Steve McQueen's film also earned screenwriter John Ridley the Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay, as well as Lupita Nyong'o for Best Supporting Actress. "Dallas Buyers Club" also had a strong showing coming up with three awards, including Matthew McConaughey for Best Actor and Jared Leto for Best Supporting Actor.
