(Los Angeles, CA) -- Harry Belafonte is slated to be honored this fall. He's been tapped for this year's Governors Awards, and will receive the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian in recognition his social activism. And with the honorary Oscar, Belafonte will become the newest member of the "EGOT" club -- someone who's earned an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony Award. Other recipients include Irish actress Maureen O'Hara, French screenwriter Jean-Claude Carriere, and Japanese animated film director Hayao Miyazaki, who'll receive lifetime achievement honors. The Governors Awards will be presented at an event in Hollywood in November.
