John Lennon Killer Denied Parole - Again
(Albany, NY) -- The man who murdered John Lennon will remain locked up. A parole board Friday denied Mark David Chapman's eighth petition for release. According to the "New York Daily News," the panel cited the probability that Chapman would violate the law again. He won't be eligible for parole for another two years. Chapman is serving a 20-year to life sentence in upstate New York for gunning down the Beatles legend on December 8th, 1980. Just hours before his death, Lennon had signed a copy of his new album for Chapman.
