(Dade City, FL) -- The former Florida cop accused of a fatal theater shooting during a confrontation over texting will remain in jail. A judge denied bail Friday for 71-year-old Curtis Reeves. The retired Tampa police officer is charged with second-degree murder in the shooting death of Chad Oulson. Reeves allegedly shot Oulson after they got in an argument over Oulson texting his two-year-old daughter's babysitter while the movie previews were showing. Reeves claims he acted in self defense when Oulson hit him with something during the altercation.
