(Undated) -- Reality TV star Kim Kardashian is catching heat for her plea to save a village in Syria. Kardashian is asking her 20-million Twitter followers to save the ancient Armenian Christian village of Kessab. The criticism comes from people who accuse her of being part of a stealth social media campaign to support Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad. The hashtag SaveKessab has been tied to false claims by Assad loyalists. They claimed that opposition fighters who took over the village desecrated churches and slaughtered residents.
