Nearly One-Thousand Emergency Calls To VSP

(Richmond, VA) -- Virginia State Police say they have received nearly one-thousand emergency calls since midnight due to the winter storm. They say officers have responded to more than 150 disabled vehicles and more than 300 accidents. Dale Shepard is a plow truck driver.
In the Fairfax division, there have been 22 disabled vehicles and 151 crashes as of late morning. There are no reports of weather-related deaths and few, if any, with significant injuries. Governor Terry McAuliffe has declared a state of emergency in Virginia.
