NJ Poised To Become First State To Ban Beach Smoking

(Jersey City, NJ) -- New Jersey is on the verge of becoming the first state to ban all smoking at public beaches and parks. A bill passed by both houses last month expands the state's Smoke Free Act to include recreational spaces. It's awaiting Governor Chris Christie's signature. Some beach towns, such as Long Beach Township, Harvey Cedars and Ship Bottom already have "no smoking" ordinances.
