Obama Condemns Beheading Of U.S. Journalist

(Martha's Vineyard, MA) -- President Obama is condemning the beheading of American journalist James Foley. Foley was killed by ISIS militants. Speaking from Martha's Vineyard, the President said the murder has shocked the conscience of the entire world. ISIS claims the beheading was in retaliation for U.S. airstrikes against ISIS targets in Iraq. State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf says the U.S. is working hard with allies to "cut off the oxygen" of ISIS fighters. Harf said the U.S. is continuing airstrikes in Iraq and will do everything possible to hold the perpetrators of Foley's murder accountable.
