Obama: Embrace New Partnerships With African Continent

(Washington, DC) -- President Obama is calling on world leaders to join the U.S. in embracing a "new model of partnership" with the African continent.
Speaking at the U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit at the State Department, Obama said Africa holds some of the fastest growing economies in the world. He touted new opportunities for international trade and called on African leaders to embrace universal concepts of human rights. The President also noted growing security challenges with the rise of terrorist cells in certain regions of the African continent.
