Pope Leads Open-Air Mass In South Korea

(Seoul) -- Pope Francis is once again denouncing the growing worldwide economic gap during his trip to South Korea. Speaking to a crowd of hundreds of thousands in an open-air mass in Seoul, the Pope urged affluent societies to listen to the "cry of the poor" and tend to "our brothers and sisters in need." The remarks were made in a mass where the Pontiff beatified 124 Korean martyrs who were killed for refusing to denounce Christianity in the 18th and 19th centuries. On his procession to the alter, Francis stopped to pray with family members of victims of the South Korean ferry disaster.
