(San Antonio, TX) -- South Central Texas water utilities are promising the scary situation with water in Toledo, Ohio won't happen here. An SAWS spokesperson tells KENS 5 the agency gets water from aquifers, which don't have problems with algae blooms. The Guadalupe Blanco River Authority says any type of algae which shows up in Canyon Lake gets tested. People in Toledo had to go without water for two days because toxins ended up in Lake Erie.
