(Washington, DC) -- U.S. officials say insurgents in Iraq are holding a chemical weapons storage facility. The complex was once part of Saddam Hussein's chemical weapons program and it still has a stockpile of old weapons. Iraqi government troops appear to be slowing Sunni militants' advance on Baghdad, but fierce fighting continues. The fighting was heaviest north of the Iraqi capital on Thursday, as militants and government forces battle for control of the nation's biggest oil refinery. Militants are said to control at least five cities in the north and east of the country.
