Texas To Execute Dallas Man For 2003 Murder

(Huntsville, TX) -- The state of Texas is set to execute a Dallas man tonight for the murder of a delivery driver. Anthony Doyle was arrested in 2003 for beating the female donut shop driver to death with a baseball bat in front of his parents' house. Doyle then stole the woman's car, cell phone and credit card but was eventually arrested. He was convicted in 2004 of capital murder and given the death penalty. Doyle has a long criminal history dating back to the sixth grade. He attempted to get the U.S. Supreme Court to review his case, but that request was denied last month. He'll be the fourth person executed in Texas this year.
