(Memphis, TN) -- TV court judge Joe Brown is learning what it's like to be on the other side of the justice system in Tennessee.
Brown was taken in to custody Monday after getting loud and verbally abusive at a Juvenile Court hearing where he was representing someone in a child support case. Brown was initially given two days in jail for contempt of court but the judge ordered increased the sentence to five days when he reportedly started shouting as he was removed from the courtroom. Brown, whose TV show ended its run last year, is running for the Shelby County District Attorney position.
In Shelby County Court, TV court judge Joe Brown questioned the legality of the judge.
Brown continued to ridicule the proceedings.
Outside the courthouse, Brown couldn't believe what happened.
