The loudest midterm fight may not be Democrats versus MAGA. It is establishment Republicans, professional pessimists, and recycled scare campaigns—AI doom, polling fatalism, Iran anxiety, and “vote Democrat instead”—working to fracture the coalition before voters even arrive.
