Church of the Week with Chad Schapiro - Special Guest Dr. Joe Rangel, PhD, Director of Truett Seminary in San Antonio
Dr. Joe Rangel, PhD, serves as director of Truett Seminary in San Antonio. In this role, Dr. Rangel is entrusted with the oversight of the campus encompassing responsibilities such as recruiting, supporting, and resourcing students, fostering collaborative connections with local ministers and community leaders, and serving as a bridge between San Antonio and the Seminary's main campus in Waco.
Dr. Joe Rangel previously served as interim dean of the School of Christian Studies and taught Christian Ministry at Wayland Baptist University. Prior to his time at Wayland, he served as executive pastor at First Baptist Church Weslaco.
Dr. Rangel received a BA in political science from Southern Methodist University, an MDiv in mission/evangelism from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a PhD from Biola University in intercultural education.
He is married to Sara, and they have one amazing son, David.
