About Kathy Barnette
Weekend Host, 1210 WPHT Philadelphia | Founder & President, Seed & Roots Initiative
Since serving as National Grassroots Director and Senior Advisor to the Vivek Ramaswamy Presidential Campaign, Kathy Barnette has continued her mission to strengthen America’s cultural and moral foundations. She now serves as Founder and President of the Seed & Roots Initiative and as the Weekend Host on 1210 WPHT (Audacy Radio)—Philadelphia’s #1 talk radio station.
Kathy is an author, U.S. Army veteran, former adjunct professor of corporate finance, wife, and homeschooling mother. She was also the 2022 Republican nominee for U.S. Senate in Pennsylvania, where she defied political odds to run one of the most dynamic grassroots campaigns in the nation. Despite being outspent by millions, she surged in the final weeks of the race, finishing in a statistical tie for first place and earning the support of more than 330,000 Pennsylvanians.
Her bestselling book, Nothing to Lose, Everything to Gain: Being Black and Conservative in America, reached #1 on Amazon and offers a compelling look at how leftist policies have repeatedly failed the Black community—and how those same policies threaten to undermine the broader American dream.
Raised on a pig farm in southern Alabama with no insulation, no running water, and an outhouse in the back, Kathy became the first in her family to graduate from college. She went on to serve ten years in the Armed Forces Reserves, where she was accepted into Officer Candidate School, and later built a successful career in finance, corporate America, and media.
Today, through her work with the Seed & Roots Initiative, Kathy is cultivating a national movement rooted in faith, family, and the future of work in America—calling people to live well, build boldly, and leave a legacy worthy of those who came before us.
