President Donald Trump is attending Thursday night's New York Yankees game in the Bronx to mark the 24th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks. Yankees Manager Aaron Boone says he's excited about Trump's visit and the president may pop by the team's locker room. Security is tight at the stadium, with metal detectors, Secret Service agents and New York Police Department helicopters outside. This heightened security follows the assassination of Charlie Kirk in Utah on Wednesday. Fans were urged to arrive early.

The president said he plans to speak with Kirk’s family on Thursday afternoon, and Vice President JD Vance is traveling to Utah Thursday to meet with Kirk’s family in person. “They have a virtual manhunt out there.
