The first day of Spring 2023 is upon us and boy am I excited! The Spring showers bring beautiful flowers! As I write this note, I am making my way down to Curacao to make an exciting episode of Beyond Your Backyard. If you have not seen the show, then take a look as I’m featuring an episode this week. As we prepare to shoot video outside, we are always concerned about the weather; specifically, rain. Rain can cause a lengthy delay if the crew isn’t prepared to pivot indoors. The same can be said for your vacation. Allow me a moment. If you are planning on taking your entire group to the beach, then remember to know what the rain situation is in that particular place in the time of year you are planning on going. In addition, I would have a few back up plans in your pocket in the unlikely event of a rian (or other) disruption. This could be a visit to a museum, exploring a cave system, a cooking class or attending an indoor theater or sporting event. Have a wonderful week and happy travels!
