Anne Wilson spoke with Brandon Woolum on the red carpet at the Nashville premiere of I Can Only Imagine 2, sharing how MercyMe’s song “Even If” played a deeply personal role in her family’s healing after the loss of her brother, Jacob. Wilson recalled that it was the first song they heard on Christian radio after his passing, and it became a source of comfort and strength during one of the hardest seasons of their lives. Being at the premiere of a film inspired by that same song made the night especially meaningful for the rising Christian artist.

Wilson also emphasized the importance of vulnerability in both music and film, saying audiences today are drawn to honesty and real stories of faith through struggle. She shared that her own songwriting is rooted in authenticity, shaped by her personal experiences of grief and hope. With new tours and music continuing to connect with fans nationwide, Wilson said she remains committed to creating songs that meet people where they are and remind them they are not alone.
